Notes: This is a beautiful sounding set of Deagan 1229 wide bar "Roundtops" in excellent to mint condition. The bars are a full 1 1/4" wide by 7/16" thick. The sound of vintage Deagan
roundtop bells is legendary and this set is no exception. Narrower bar roundtops can be a bit tricky to play but the wider bars of the model 1229 offer a generous striking area making them
very comfortable to play. In addition, these large bars have a beautiful full, rich sound, and long sustain. We have made a new, non-folding, oak case for the bells that allows the bars to be
arranged with less space between the accidentals and naturals making them easier to play than the sets in the traditional folding cases. Our modern oak case also enhances the sound production of the
instrument with our unique keybed design. Handles will be added to the case upon request. The bars have been recently re-plated and re-tuned to A=440 by Century Mallets making
this a beautiful instrument in both appearance and sound production. This set of bells measures up to highest artistic standards for the orchestral percussionist.
