Notes: This is a reconditioned Hinger Standard snare drum built in 1976. The paper tag inside the drum is dated 2/15/1976 which makes this a relatively early Hinger snare. This is one of the thinner,
second generation Hinger shells. It has the original George Way strainer and original blue cable snares. The drum had been recovered in a non-original covering which we have replaced with the same type
of material originally used. The lugs used by Hinger had broken and were replaced with Gretsch lugs that match the original lug mounting hole spacing. The original vent grommets were previously replaced
with newer grommets. The snares have had one strand removed (11 strands now instead of 12 strands) which was done by the original owner. It has new heads and is ready to play. A great looking and
sounding snare drum.
