Notes: This is a vintage nickel plated 3-Tone Interurban Train whistle as seen in the Ludwig catalogs from the 1920's. These whistles were a common part
of the trap drummer's sound effects collection in the early part of the 20th century. This whistle appears on page 74 of the 1928 Ludwig catalog with the following description:
"Excellent imitation of small steamboat, launch, interurban electrics and motorcycles. A very effective, useful, inexpensive, and durable little trap."
Our whistle is in mint condition and produces a strong tone. Very similar in sound to our Interurban metal whistle which also appears in the 1928 Ludwig catalog.
Overall length is 5 1/2". Excellent addition to any traps collection.
