Notes:  This is an extremely rare snare drum.  First, there are very few standard-sensitive model drums around.  This model was only offered through a 1929 flyer and the Ludwig Drummer magazine of
1929.  There were three new models offered that year, The Super-Sensitive, the New Era Sensitive and the Standard Sensitive.  The only model that survived and made it into the catalogs was the
Super-Sensitive.  All three of these models had the unique addition of internal snares.  The Standard Sensitive has a standard Professional snare strainer for the bottom snares on the drum and the Sensitive
snare mechanism for the internal snares that pressed up against the top head from inside the drum.

There are a few Standard Sensitive drums in collections around the country but what makes this a one of a kind drum is the Rose Pearl covering.  The only reference offering the Rose Pearl covering is found
in the fall 1929 Ludwig Drummer Magazine.  We know of only one other Rose Pearl covered drum in a collection and it is not a Standard Sensitive.

This is truly an extremely beautiful and rare drum.
