Maker: Leedy
Condition: Excellent
Notes: Leedy No. 7480 Egyptian Cymbal set. Egyptian or "Greeko" cymbals appeared in the Leedy catalog for many years. They were described in the 1933 Leedy catalog in this way:
"Drummers should not be without these cymbals. They have that "stinging" tone that id ideal for "coloring". Set consists of one 3 1/2" and one 3 1/4" cymbal, and holders. Each cymbal of different pitch. Best effect obtained by playing with the "tips" of the sticks in PP strains. Holders clamp securely to bass drum hoop without marring."
Our set of Leedy Egyptian Cymbals is exactly as described. The set is all original and in excellent condition. This pair comes with "Stayon" model clamps that are in perfect working order. There is a small amount of discoloration in the larger cymbal. The Leedy logo appears on the underside of each cymbals and on the clamps. This is a terrific sounding set of very hard to find Egytpian cymbals that will make the perfect addition to your Leedy 1930's outfit.
