Notes: Extremely rare 8" x 14" Standard model snare drum in beautiful white marine pearl wrap. The date stamp on this drum is 4112 making this rare sized drum a rare "Pearl
Harbor" model. Ludwig only offered their Standard model drum in the 8" size in the 1941 catalog as a special order so relatively few of these drums exist in this size. All original parts
including the snappy snares complete with the "Controlled Response" feature throw-off. The Controlled Response feature was new at this time and includes a three position throw-off that
allows the player to tune the snares in one of three positions, complete throw-on, complete throw-off, or semi-loose. All nickel plated hardware is in excellent condition with only a few minor
spots of plating loss on a few tension rods. Original stick chopper NOB hoops and extended snare bridges. This is an excellent sounding playable drum that will also make a rare addition
to any collection.
