Notes: This is a rare, near mint Buddy Rich Be-Bop model snare drum with chrome plated hardware and chrome over brass rims. The drum is all original except for
the snares and heads with a 3-ply mahogany shell that has mahogany reinforcement rings. The "beer tap" strainer works perfectly. The pearl wrap is perfect with very little fade.
There is one small spot of rough plating on the butt plate. This drum was designed at the request of Buddy Rich for use with small combos and on television shows.
The drum produces a crisp, sharp tone. This is an excellent collector quality drum.
