Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a rare Camco metal cuckoo imitation from the 1960's. As shown in the attached 1962 Camco catalog, this is the model 827 cuckoo. Measuring a full 6" in length with a large 1" diamter nickel plated tube, this whistle produces a clear, bright two pitch cuckoo imitation that will easily cut through a large ensemble. The mouthpiece is wide and flat making this whistle comfortable to play. One of a series of whistles produced by Walberg & Auge in this style over the years. There is ai smal crack in the tube just above the flute which does not affect the sound in any way. This is a great whistle for a collection or performer's trap kit.
