Leedy 1938 7”x14” Broadway “Swingster” model snare drum fully reconditioned and refinished to it’s original white laquer color. The drum had been painted blue and black at some point in its career but had all it’s original hardware including the original James “snappy snares.” All the nickel hardware has cleaned up nicely and is in excellent condition. The original wooden counter hoops are in excellent condition. The 3812 date stamp (December 1938) inside the shell was lightly painted over with black paint but still clearly shows through. The original snares are missing a couple strands but they still function well. Drums with wooden rims from this era in excellent condition are hard to find. This is a very attractive drum for a collection that can be added to any vintage kit for that 1930’s “Swing” sound.
