This is a very good example of a mid-1930’s Leedy Parallel snare showing average use and wear. This drum is in good overall condition with no major dings. The nickel is in very good condition with some loss on the lugs and tension rods. The top rim is engraved Leedy Elkhart Ind, the bottom rim is engraved Leedy Parallel. The drum shell is made of heavy brass. The snares are original wire wound silk with the original spring-loaded ends. This is an all-original drum except for the heads. The brass Leedy drums from this era are rare and hard to find, this would make a good addition to one’s collection or will make a great sounding player drum.
