This is an extremely rare Black Oyster Pearl (Ringo) pearl covering on a 3”x13” Jazz-Combo size snare drum. This drum is in near-mint condition with a very crisp and high pitched sound. Originally designed for small light Jazz settings these drums have been used for modern rock as well as jazz. This drum was most recently used over the last 30 years in an orchestral setting as a “piccolo” snare. Black Oyster Pearl is the “Holy Grail” of colors from the 1960’s because that was the color of the Ludwig set Ringo Star played. The wrap on this drum is in excellent condition with no issues. This drum is being offered as either an excellent players drum but also would be a great addition to any collection of 1960’s drums. We have never seen another 3”x13” Jazz-Combo drum in this rare color or in this mint condition. The only non-original parts to this drum are the heads.
