Beautiful vintage Ludwig Adjustable Bass Drum Muffler as shown in the attached 1957 catalog. This is a transitional piece of hardware that only show up in the Ludwig catalogs but has the WFL logo on the piece. It is in mint, all original condition including the felt and thumb screws. This is the adjustable version of the muffler with the extra pressure adjustment thumb screw that allows the player to set the pressure level of the muffler against the head. every outfit from this period had one of these mufflers on the bass drum. The nickel plating on this muffler is in perfect, "show quality" condition. This is a must have acessory for any 1950's or 1960's Ludwig outfit.
