Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This reproduction of the Ludwig Standard Strainer arm position pin attaches to the strainer arm with a small screw and the tip of the pin fits into one of three positions on a small metal plate behind the strainer. Thissystem allowed the player to easily set the snares in an "all on", "half on" or "all off" position. Position pins were added to the Ludwig Standard Strainer arm in 1941 and are often missing from these strainers today. Our exact reproduction pins are made of stainless steel. The cylinder has an internal spring, which allows the pin to easily lock into the metal back plate.
