Hinger “Space-Tone snare drum #121. This is an outstanding drum in excellent condition. Like all Hinger snare drums, it is very sensitive at soft dynamic ranges and powerful at loud dynamics. The original paper tag is present inside the drum showing the #121 which puts this drum as one of the earlier “Space-Tone” models produced in the late 1970’s. There is also a small round sticker in the drum from “The Drumshine Shop” Cincinnati OH. This was likely the drum shop where this drum was originally purchased. There are new heads and Hinger reproduction cable snares on the drum. The reproduction “Hinger” snares are basically the same snare material as the originals, mounted on metal clamps which lock the snare strands in plce and prevent them from slipping. There are a few minor scratches on the black covering and minor pitting on the hardware typical for the vintage. The original throw-off works smoothly as it should. Terrific sounding snare drum with that original "Hinger" sound. The drum is 6 ½”x14” closed and expands to 8” deep when open. These drums are getting harder to find so don’t pass up this rare opportunity to add one to your collection.
