Beautiful pair of early Hinger Touch-Tone timpani mallets with bamboo shafts. The bamboo shafts on this pair of mallets are in very good condition. They are beautifully balanced and almost perfectly straight. There is one small crack in one of the shafts that has been repaired and does not buzz. This is an early pair of sticks from the Hinger Touch-Tone company with the Touch-Tone logo and trademark burned into each shaft.The felt is in excellent condition and appears to be original. The original green tape is in place indicating the hardness as "medium - general". It is very hard to find a pair of vintage timpani sticks with bamboo handles in good condition. This is a highly collectible pair of sticks that will serve as fine mallets for many years to come.
