One of a limited number of chrome covered drums produced by the Hinger Touch-Tone company in the 1970’s. Most of the Hinger drums were either covered in wood grain, black or white but a few were covered with the reflective chrome wrap seen on this drum. Overall this drum is in great condition and sounds terrific. The covering does have some typical scratches from use but there are no dings or other issues that affect the sound of the drum. The Hinger Touch-Tone logo throw-off works smoothly to control the reproduction blue cable snares that are exactly like the original Hinger snares. On the inside of the shell, the numbered tag reads 9/23/77 with serial #239. The top and bottom rims are replacements that match the original rims. This is an excellent orchestral drum, that is very sensitive as well as powerful that will make a great addition to any player's collection.
