Beautiful Leedy model No,7685 roundtop rosewood woodblock. The roundtop model woodblock, as shown in the 1930 Leedy catalog, is an authentic Chinese rosewood woodblock with a perfectly flat bottom and rounded top. These are one-sided woodblocks designed to sit perfectly flat on a table or mount. Our Leedy rountop woodblock measues 6 7/8" L x 2 5/8" W x 1 1/8" H and sounds terrific. This woodblock  is from a collection of traps and sound effects formerly owned by Emil Kresse, principal percussionist and timpanist of the Philadelphia Orchestra (1901 – 1945) who passed them on to Fred D. Hinger, also a former principal percussionist and timpanist with the Philadelphia Orchestra (1948 – 1967) and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (1967 – 1983).
