Beautiful early Leedy tunable cuckoo in New Old Stock condition. This is an early Leedy sound effect with a clear Leedy Indianapolis oval stamp near the mouthpiece. Made of beautiful mahogany with a rosewood slide and mourpiece. The rosewood air hole is covered by a nice nickel plated key much like the key one would find on a woodwind instrument. The whistle is 1 3/8"H x 1 5/8" W by 10" in length not counting the slide. The The entire instrument is in New Old Stock condition and is not only beautiful to look at but sounds fantastic. The slide operates smoothly and allows the player to tune the cuckoo to the desired range. This is a truly unique sound effect in pristine condition. The cuckoo was a standard trap from the early 20th century and a must have or any vintage traps collection.
