Ludwig & Ludwig 6.5”x14” late 1930’s standard snare drum with solid maple shell stamped 3810 (October 1938). The shell has been re-finished to a beautiful natural maple. The drum was likely originally a pearl covered drum. A previous owner had the shell re-finished and the 8 Imperial lugs re-plated. Both rims are in excellent condition as are the original butt plate and throw off. This drum originally had a muffler which has been removed, there are no extra holes in the shell.
This is a great sounding player's drum. It is currently equipped with blue cable snares making it very sensitive and crisp sounding. It is a terrific orchestral snare drum.
