Vintage hand held rhythm cymbals most commonly refered to as "Bock-a-da-Bock" cymbals. These cymbals were first introduced in this design in both the Leedy and Ludwig drum catalogs in 1928. The instrument is comprised of two nickel silver cymals mounted on a handle with one cymbal fixed on a steel support while the other is attached to a thin piece of spring steel. Playing the cymbals produces a clapping, popping cymbal effect. This is a tremendous effect that was wildly popular back in the 1930's. Our Bock-a-da-Bock cymbals are the larger of the two sizes that were offfered in 1928.The nickel silver cymbals are 4 1/2" in diameter. The overall length including the wooden hamdle is 11". This instrument is in unrestored, all original condition. It is easy to play fast rhythms with these cymbals and they sound great. This is one of the rarest vintage drummer's traps and will be a highlight of any period traps collection.
