Ludwig & Ludwig model No. 432 American Brass cymbal. As shown in the attached 1928 Ludwig catalog, Ludwig's own cymbal branded with the Ludwig trademark stamped into the cymbal. Ludwig made American Brass cymbals for use with their drum sets in sizes ranging from 7" to 13". These were used for a variety of effects for pedal and "sock" work. The Ludwig own make cymbals were "spun" from brass and have very small ridges on the top of the plates. These are heavy weight cymbals for their size, this cymbal weighs 620 grams. Owning some of these cymbals in a range of sizes is a must for the collector of early Ludwig drums. This cymbal would be perfect to mount on the bass drum counter hoop to be struck by the pedal striker.
