Mr. HIngers’ pride and joy.  Mr. often said his favorite instrument was the cymbals.  This pair is one, if not the, best sounding pair of “Old K’s” in the world.  When asked about cymbals Mr. Hinger would get a glint in his eyes and pull out this pair to show his students.  The sound he got from this pair was magnificent.  He would then proceed with other pairs he owned to demonstrate his playing technique, the sound was wonderful no matter what pair he played.  This was also the pair of cymbals he would take with him to the Zildjian factory to compare to other pairs he would then set aside in the vault designated as his inventory.  If you purchased a pair of cymbals from Hinger Touch-Tone you would receive a pair that had similar sound qualities to this pair.  The cut out at the edge was caused by the cymbals being placed on the floor and someone stepping on them (a lesson to lean).  As with many pairs this “cut-out” repair does not affect the overall sound of the cymbals.
