Fully restored, this extremely rare Slingerland DuAll snare drum makes a very nice collectable/player drum. The Slingerland DuAll snare drums were short lived because of the claim by Ludwig that Slingerland copied their “Super Ludwig” mechanism. The courts rules in Ludwig's favor and Slingerland lost the right to produce the DuAll using this parallel style throw-off. This drum came to us with the shell stripped of paint, incorrect top and bottom rims, missing the “Tone Flange” and missing a snare adjustment knob and snares. The drum has the original brass ring that fits under the tone flange, all original tube lugs and original badge. The shell is solid maple and in round. The tension rods for the top and bottom rims are modern and clips for the top head are of the era but not original. Due to the over sized head required to fit over the tone flange, we tucked a calf head on an original metal flesh hoop. The bottom rim is a newer ten hole rim (the shell is not over sized so modern rims and hoops fit the snare side of the drum). The hardware is Chromium plated, which is original on all the original parts, except for the top rim which is nickel.
