Slingerland Maracas

Slingerland Maracas
Product Code: TRE88
Availability: Recently Sold

Early pair of Slingerland model No. 1117 maracas. Similar to the pair shown in the attached 1936 catalog. This pair of maracas does not have one-pieces heads. Each head is made of a stack of donut shaped disks that are beautifully shaped and painted read. The black handle runs through the middle of the head and is attached by a metal disk at the top. Each metal disk has an early Slingerland logo stamp. We believe these are the first generation of maracas made by Slingerand before they were able to make one-piece heads. The two maracas ae pitched high and low and have a nice sound. The red paint on the heads is in very good shape and the black handles are excellent. This is a very early example of a standard trap that will make a unique addition to any traps collection.
