This is a 1958 Slingerland 5 ½” x 14” “Super Gene Krupa” model snare drum in White Marine Pearl finish. This is a very clean, solid maple shell snare drum in very good, all original condition with the exception of the heads. The stamp date inside is February 25, 1958. There are no extra holes or any blemishes in the wrap and all of the chrome plated hardware, including the chrome over brass rims, is in very good condition. The one slight issue is that the strainer was bent at some point in the past so that the snares do not engage fully unless the strainer arm is rotated slightly beyond the intended position. Otherwise the drum functions properly and sounds great. This is the drum everyone wants, don’t miss out on the opportunity to own a solid shell “Super Gene Krupa”, aka “Radio King” model snare drum.
