Product Code: TRE43Early vintage Ludwig & Ludwig slide whistle. This is one of the first slide whistle LUdwig offered in their catalog. It is clearly stamped "Ludwig & Ludwig Chicago" on the brarrel and on the end. The whistle is most likely made by H. A. Ward, England aaround 1910 - 1915. It is in excellent condition made from nickel plated brass with an overall length of 8 1/2" and a barrel diameter of 3/4". The slide works smoothly and the whistle still produces a beautiful sound throughout its range. It's a rarity to find an early whistle of this type stamped with the Ludwig & Ludwig logo. This will make a unique addition to a period Ludwig sound effects collection.
