Beautiful set of fully reconditioned Deagan “Special” model Orchestra bells. This is a very early set of the Deagan “Special” model of orchestra bells made prior to the advent of the later model #31. The bars on this set are much heavier than the model #31 and are a full 1 1/4" wide by 3/8” thick making this set comparable to the “Standard” model by Deagan. The bars have been re-plated in bright nickel and re-tuned to A=440. They look and sound amazing. The bars have been placed in one of our new custom made oak bell cases. The bars are layed out in this case with overlapping accidentals to make the instrument very comfortable to play. The key beds are designed to eliminate case noise and maximize the resonance of each bar. This instrument produces a nice full, warm vintage bell sound that is highly sought.after by professional percussionists.
