This is a “Special Made” snare drum for use by Fred Hinger. His personal standard model 5”x14” snare drum. One of the earlier phenolic shell drums using the cast iron rims. An up-dated throw-off and snares have been added to this drum. This is of great interest for several reasons. It was Fred Hinger’s personal snare drum, it is an early version of the drums made by the Hinger Touch-Tone company and, of course, a great sounding snare drum which can come alive again through it use in an orchestra again.
