Klemm Brothers Field Drum

Klemm Brothers Field Drum
Product Code: COHD11

An interesting piece of history from the Fred Hinger Collection.   The Klemm Brothers drums were imported from Germany to Philadelphia c. 1915.  Inside the drum there is label and a note of a rim repair made by Albert Mayer on 5-5-18.  (May 5, 1918).  This drum is a straight forward single tension field drum from this early 1900’s period with however, a unique wood sunburst inlay making it stand out from the norm.  A somewhat a-typical size in the 17” diameter with calf heads and gut snares give this drum its distinctive “of the era” sound.
