This is a set of 4, Mike Balter "Grandioso" 106R keyboard mallets. These mallets have been discontinued by the Balter company but are still popular with players. The mallets have a hard, 1 1/8" rubber head with an added latex rubber sleeve liek the ones used on Hinger mallets. With the sleeve removed, the mallets are hard and sound good on xylophone, ot the upper register of a marimba. The the sleeves in place, the mallets are terrific for the entire range of a marimba. The extra weight makes helps them sound particularly good in the low register. The rattan handles are straight and in excellent condition. This is a great set of mallets at a terrific price. Youu won't find them anywhere else.
