This is a terrific early 20th century pair of bass marimba mallets. The mallets have a large, soft rubber core with a large amount of yarn wrapping. This gives the mallet heads an elongated shape and a very top heavy weighting. This combination makes them the perfect pair of mallets for a bass marimba. The sound production produced by the mallets on the large, low end bars is terrific. This is an early vintage pair of mallets without a trademaek but they are most likely Deagan mallets. This is a rare pair of mallets that will make a nice addition to any collection.
