This is a hard to find pair of original general purpose Goodman timpani mallets. Made by the legendary timpanist at the New York Philharmonic and Juilliard faculty member, Saul Goodman. These mallets have a maple shaft and removeable head so the same pair of shafts can be used for multiple purposes. This pair is in excellent condition with some soiling around the butt end of the sticks but no chips or dings. The felt heads are also in great condition. These are finely balanced mallets that were the standard in excellence for timpanists for many years. These will make a fine addition to a working stick bag or vintage mallet collection.
