This is a one of a kind, early Hinger bass drum mallet with a bamboo shaft. Unlike later Hinger mallets, this mallet has an oversized, lightweight soft head with felt covering. Paired with the lightweight bamboo shaft, this nicely balanced mallet produces a beautiful round sound on a concert bass drum. The bamboo shaft is straight, without cracks. There is no visible Hinger brand but it may be under the Hinger rubber handle. The handle has the red stripe that Hinger used to indicate soft mallets. This is a rare opportunity to add a unique mallet to any concert bass drum toolbox.
