Vintage pair of Hinger Touch-Tone "red" xylophone mallets in in very good original condition. This pair has a 1 1/8" hard rubber head suitable for xylophone and upper register marimba playing with the original thin, removeable, rubber latex cover. This larger size head produces a fuller sound due to the extra weight. The shafts are 3/8" round reed. The round reed material is rattan with the smooth skin removed which is straight and even in thickness. The shafts are 13 3/4" long, the overall length is 14 5/8". Each mallet has the original red tape under the head but there is no Hinger ink stamp. This is a nice pair of vintage Hinger mallets in good, playable condition. The removeable latex covering is a slightly dried out so they are a bit fragile but they still sound good. These are easy to play and produce a nice sound on the instrument.
