Hinger Private Collection Now Available

A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a rare early pair of Hinger timpani mallets with bamboo shafts. Like many early Hinger mallets, there is no Hinger mark or brand on the shaft but these were made for a former student by Mr. Hinger himself and have his trademark green thread wound butt ends. Both of the bamboo shafts are straight, well matched, and well balanced. The piano felt heads are in excellent shape with only a tiny bit of wear. Both of the shafts have small cracks between the knots and heads but these do not affect how these mallets perform. This is a great pair of general purpose, bamboo shaft timpani mallets that will make a nice addition to any timpanist's mallet case.
