This is a very nice pair of Ludwig logo timpani mallets with piano felt heads. These are stamped with a clear Ludwig logo but no model number. That appear to be model 342 medium mallets. As shown in the attached 1967 Ludwig catalog, these are symphonic medium hardness mallets. The shafts are straights and in very nice condition with all of the original lacquer still present. The shafts are tapered from 5/8" in diameter at the grip to 7/16" at the head. The felt heads are clean with little or no wear. These are useful mallets for timpani or tom toms and make a great addition to a 1960's Ludwig outfit.
