This is a unique copper, warbling bird/canary whistle from the 19'teens. These copper whistles were offered in early 20th century sound effects catalog pages for vaudeville era drummers. It can be filled with water or light oil to produce a loud warbling bid call. The whistle is larger than most bird whistles from the era and produces a louder effect than other whistles from the era. The copper chamber is water tight so it does not leak. it is 3" tall to the peak and the chamber is 1 3/4" in diameter. This is a unique, rare whistle that will make a great addition to any suond effect collection.
