This is a very nice 1937, 6 ½” x 14”, Leedy Broadway Parallel. This drum has been recovered in vintage Black Diamond Pearl. The original covering was badly bubbled (typical of this era on Leedy drums). Original white painted interior with a date stamp of 3706, meaning the drum was built in June of 1937. All the hardware is original, in excellent condition, and has been cleaned and polished. The snares are the original, spring loaded box type, fairly rare to find intact and in good working condition. The solid maple shell is slightly out of round, not uncommon for this era, but modern heads do fit. There are no extra holes. This is a beautiful drum worthy of any collection but also a nice player’s drum. These drums are getting harder and harder to find, especially in excellent condition all original hardware and original snares. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this drum to your collection.
