This is a rare opportunity to own an original 12" x 14" Hinger "Space-Tone" field drum. Only a very few of these drums were ever made and this one is the last of the phenolic shell field drums built by Mr. Hinger. More will not be produced. This drum was one of the original drums made in the 1970’s that had a chrome covering. For years it sat on the shelf in Mr. Hinger’s studio and just recently Bill Hinger, who made these drums for the Hinger Co. back in the 1970’s and 80’s, removed the covering and refinished the drum with the Hinger Stipple finish matching the original “Pipe” drums. This drum is equipped with original Hinger yellow cable snares and Hinger heads. It sounds fantastic, displaying the combination of sensitivity and power unqiue to the Hinger phenolic shell drums. This is an amazing orchestral instrument just like the standard 6.5”x14” Hinger “Space-Tone” snare drums. This would be a great instrument to add to your collection. Don’t miss the opportunity to own this one of a kind Phenolic shell “Space-Tone” field drum.
