This is a new, made to order, Hinger standard snare drum with a wooden Keller shell, hand crafted by master drum builder Bill Hinger. These drums are being produced in 3 different size shells, 6 1/2" x 14 (as pictured), 5" x 14", and 4" x 14" (see related link). The shells are painted using the same formula as the original heavy Hinger “pipe” drums giving these drums a great vintage look. The interiors are painted black with an original Hinger tag inside signed by Bill Hinger. The heads and yellow cable snares are stamped with the Hinger logo and match those installed on the Hinger drums from the 80's. There are two air vent holes and no internal muffler to maximize the resonance of the instrument. The sound of these drums rivals the legendary sound of the original Hinger drums that Mr. Hinger was building decades ago. They combine incredible sensitivity with great power and articulation. This is an opportunity to own a new, legendary Hinger snare drum that is destined to become THE collector drum of the future.
