Here is one of the rarest vintage snare drums from the early 20th century, As shown in the 1927 Ludwig & Ludwig catalog, this 6 1/2" x 14" heavy two-piece brass shell is one of the hardest sizes to find from this era. This example is in near perfect, all original condition. The nickel plating is in excellent overall condition. There are a few imperfections in the shell but no dents, extra holes, or issues of any kind. A nice set of older gut snares are mounted on the drum with newer plastic heads. There are a few tiny spots on the single flanged rims but they are in excellent condition. All parts function perfectly. This is a terrific sounding concert snare drum that will be a star in any collection of vintage drums.
