This is a beautifully preserved, completely original 1950 Slingerland "Legion Heir" parade drum in near mint condition. As shown in the attached 1950 catalog, this model has 8 single tension lugs, maple counter hoops, and a beautiful large American eagle decal on the shell. This drum comes with what appear to be the original Slingerland calf skin heads and wire wound silk snares. All of the hardware is in perfect working order. There is a little light rust on a few of the tension rods but otherwise, this complete field drum is in near mint condition. This will make a great display drum for any home or collection.
