This is a late 1970's Ludwig super Classic tom tom in a rare 12" x 15" size and Oyster Blue wrap. It's shell has a clear interior with no re-rings. All 16 classic lugs are original and in excellent condition as are the tension rods and rims. The chrome plating is in excellent condition with no rust or plating loss. We date the drum from 1978 based on the serial number on the original blue and olive badge. The Oyster Blue wrap is in good shape overall. There is shrinking and lifting at the seam and one small crack in the wrap under the badge. The seam lift could be fixed or this may be a good candidate for a re-wrap. The muffler is missing and there are two tiny holes in the shell hidden by the Ludwig tom tom mount. TThis is a big tom tom that will make a good, rare addition to a vintage 1970's Ludwig outfit.
