This is an original Frank's Drum Shop tambourine from the 1970's. These tambourines were made and distributed exclusively by Frank's Drum Shop owner Maurie Lishon. The shell is constructed of two hardwood bands joined together by jingle supporting rods. Each rod supports a pair of German silver jingles with a gap for gripping the instrument. The original head with its Frank's Drum shop stamp is still in perfect condition. These 10" tambourines are relatively heavy giving them a unique feel when played.
