This is a beautiful collection of complete, original edition, George Hamilton Green "Instruction Course for Xylophone" in its original carboard box. This collection includes all 50 individual lessons, each printed as a separate pamphlet. It also includes several additional items from Green's instruction course including his 8 page, "Four Hammer Playing" guide, 2 page, two mallet playing guide, 4 page Rules for Practice, and a catalog plice list for G. H. Green's printed instruction and solo works from the era. Each of the 50 pamphlets in this set is in excellent condition with no tearing or water damage. The original paper has yellowed slightly but the lessons are clearly visible and easily read. A few of the early lessons have separated along the pamphlet edge so they are individual pages. Each pamphlet has a beautifully decorated front cover in various colors. Most of the pamphlets have other George Hamilton Green publications listed on the back cover. These 50 lessons are a great resource for the mallet percussionist and ragtime soloist that are still practiced and studied today, almost 100 years after they were copyrighted in 1926. These original editions will serve as the centerpiece to any keyboard percussion library.
