This is a Leedy brand "Stayon" cymbal holder and arm set. These arms became popular in the 1940's as a way to place cymbals in virtually any position on the bass drum. The articulating Stayon bass drum hoop clamp can be rotated into any position required. There are small teeth on the holder so the arm will be locked into position by the thumb screw and will not move during playing. This adjustability combined with the infinite number of positions on the BD hoop where the clamp can be placed allows the player to get the cymbal in the perfect position for any situation. As shown in the attached 1942 Leedy catalog, this clamp and arm were the top of the Leedy line at the time. The nickel plating on the Leedy logo clamp is in perfect condition. The thub screws are in perfect working order and original to the clamp. The Leedy script logo is plan to see on the face of the clamp. The 2-bend arm is one of our nickel plated reproductions. The arm is 5/16" in diameter and 21" in length. The arm combined with the clamp can be extended to a maximum overall height of 27". This is a show quality cymbal attachment set that will enhance any vintage Leedy outfit.
