This is a rare 1930's Leedy "Stayon" hoop adapter, post mount in nobby gold finish. It comes complete with a model No. 7221 cowbell holder also in nobby gold. It's rare to find original Leedy mounts from the 1930's in the nobby gold finish. The finish on this mount is very good overall. There is some corrosion on the underside of the mount and on the thumb screw but everything that is viewable above the hoop is bright gold. As shown in the attached 1933 catalog, these were the best hoop maounts that Leedy sold. They have a wide clamping area so they are very tight when on the hoop and will not mar the finish of the hoop itself. The 3/8" diameter post on this adapter is 2 1/4" high and can easily accommodate one or two cowbells ot other traps. There is a clear Leedy script logo satmped into the top of the attachment. This is a great opportunity to add a useful attachment to match your Leedy nobby gold outfit.
