Super rare all original DW "Santa Monica" height adjustable canister throne in excellent condition. This is an original version of the first product produced by the DW drum company in the early to mid-1970's. Please see the attached timeline and history excerpt from the DW story showing this seat as their first product. Only a few of these were made in the 70's prior to DW becoming a full time manufacturing company and this is the only complete throne we have ever seen. The throne is built with two, telescoping cylinders, one fitting inside the other. The inner cylinder can be adjusted up or down by loosening three internal thumb screws and readjusting the height of the cylinder. The padded seat fits over the top of the inner cylinder and provides a nice padded seat from which to play. The inside is lined with carpet and has the capacity to carry a whole set of lightweight stands for a modern outfit. This throne is in excellent, used condition. There are a few nicks on the inside but there are no tears in the seat cushion and all of the original parts are still on the throne. This is will make a cool addition to a Camco or early DW outfit.
