Product Code: TRE38This is a rare Camco metal hen cackle imitation from the 1960's. As shown in the attached 1962 Camco catalog, this is the model 553 hen. Measuring a 4 1/4"" in length with a diameter of 11/16" this nickel plated tube whistle produces a convincing hen cackle or baby cry imitation. The mouthpiece is wide and flat making this whistle comfortable to play. One of a series of whistles produced by Walberg & Auge in this style over the years. There is a small, original sticker on one side of the tube with "Hen 553" hand written in pen. This was most likely placed on the whistle at the factory or in the shop where it was originally sold. This is a great whistle for a collection or performer's trap kit.
