This is an early pair of Hinger bass drum mallets with bamboo shafts. Unlike later Hinger bass drum mallets, this pair has relatively light weight, large heads to go with bamboo shafts making for an easy to play pair of soft bass drum rolling mallets. The heads are spherical in shape and covered with white felt. The long shafts are 3/4" in diameter, each with a clear, early Hinger brand, are straight and well matched. There are no cracks in the bamboo and the heads have some pilling but are in excellent overall condition. This is a great set of soft bass drum rolling mallets that will make a unique addition to a concert bass drum mallet case.
